djarrett
Although, we represent the minority that visit these sites, we still broke 10K posts. You guys rock! Thanks, DJ
Blue Strat
Not to burst your bubble, but Tedster on the guitar forum recently broke 10k posts too, and he's just one guy. Is it that there's just more guitarists than drummers? I play both, but like to talk guitars more than drums (don't know much about drums, other than how to tune and play them). Most of the talk about guitars is about technical stuff, and I guess that there's not that much technical stuff to the drums. BlueStrat a.k.a. joeq
bluestrat has a point. Most of these forums focus on gear and drum gear is pretty basic, a shell, a head, a stick. I do recording as well as drumming and there sure seems to be a lot more to talk about with mics, preamps, consoles, compressors and computers. I am constantly looking out for new recording stuff to buy. its a never ending story. On the other hand I am still totally happy with my 1970's Ludwig kits. (ahem). Uhhh, congratulations, most excellent drummers! "Cisco Kid, was a friend of mine"

Extra meaning more ordinary than normal. "Cisco Kid, was a friend of mine"

drumtek
10,000 may seem a small number when refering to posts (as compared to the other forums), but think of it this way... picture 10,000 sweaty, crazy muppet, "Animal" types all in one room... Well, I can't speak for you guys, but I'm proud to be member!!!

I've got five guitars and about 6 or 7 amps, but only one drum set (Lugwig! ). I'm totaly happy with my drums, just need a few more cymbals and smaller stuff. As far as guitar goes, most players want more than one instrument. If I've got a Telecaster as my only guitar, I'm probably going to want at least three more guitars, like a Strat, a Les Paul, and a good acoustic. And that's the bare minimum! BlueStrat a.k.a.
