jethro_dup1
Hi, I was looking into this topic a year or more ago to help a drummer friend of mine get into computer sequencing with his electronic kit. I'm hoping some progress has been made since then. My friend has an electronic kit (older Roland) that he wants to use to trigger a software drum sampler (such as Battery) within a sequencer program (DP4 or Cubase SX). So far so good. When we were looking into it a year or more ago, there was no way to realisticly trigger hi-hat samples using Roland's hi-hat controller pedal. We know that it uses some proprietary techniques to trigger hi-hat samples in the Roland drum brains, but we never found out how to do the same in a software sampler. So without getting any deeper into it, does anyone have successful experience with this?? When we were last looking into it, there weren't many people even trying. Anyone??? HiRoller
Sampletank LE with the acoustic drum samples is really cool and only $99.00 at www.esoundz.com. You can't actually control the high hat samples with your drum kit hh controller, but they do have several samples in various states of open/closed. my band: Mission
