coyote
If you gig, a backup snare drum can be a godsend. Drummers can live with two toms instead of three, but we live & die by the snare drum. If that snare drum breaks for any reason (a flying broken bottle once went thru mine) you certainly don't want to stop the show while you take the old heads off and put the new heads on. Also, do you think you'd get serious $$$ for it? If you could get a couple hundred that'd be cool but if you get 70 bucks or something it's hadly worth selling. I used to think I was Libertarian. Until I saw their platform; now I know I'm no more Libertarian than I am RepubliCrat or neoCON or Liberal or Socialist. This ain't no track meet; this is football. Jazzman
I would keep the snare. You never know when you will want to change it out in a recording session. A good chance to experiment with the drum too. I would never get rid of a drum unless I was trading up! Besides I own a studio and I have two snares too. I use the pic most of the time.
