harp
thanks to all who responded to my post about the video's and to those who emailed. it seems the overwhelming advice is to find a top notch teacher now, not later. would like to know if there is a teacher database similar to "basslessons.com". if not, recs for teacher in southern oklahoma and north texas. thanks again. great forum! harp
djarrett
Hey, Harp: The *right* teacher can make or break your child's long-term interest in drumming. Bad teacher = Lost Interest!! I would recommend that you contact the Percussion Professor at the closest college for recommendations on teachers. You say you are close to N. Texas? North Texas is one of the best music schools in your region. The Percussion Professor may be able to recommend a good "student" teacher that is part of his undergraduate program. Let me know how this search goes. I would like to develop a network of teachers around the country to recommend to folks just like you! Thanks, DJ
