josh a
Well, good news is I have found my tone for the moment!! Yay! And the good thing is, it sounds good with and without a pick. More good news is I haven't snapped any strings. ;-) Does anyone else think that Paul Simonon is an intense bassist? I mean his lines rock! Also I left my wallet at someone's house so I can't spend anything and will almost be saving up for a head and cab woot. I've just been thinking would 575w (about 350 into 8ohms) be enough for most situations because I don't want to just get a head and then discover it's not powerful enough - if not, can anyone suggest a powerful powerful cheap head? Thanks. More good news is I got a 2nd hand boom mic stand and clip for £12. Mic stands are ridiculously expensive. Peace out.
wraub
Yes, mic stands are expensive. I recently bought 2 microphones, and 2 stands cost almost as much. Silly. But it was an ok deal on the mics. I am currently running 400 watts into 4 ohms, and that's not enough, some of the time. Congrats on finding your tone. it's a constant journey. Peace, wraub I'm a lot more like I am now than I was when I got here.
josh a
Hmm. Tone is good. I put stickers on the dials and put arrows pointing up so I don't lose it.
