Ever play a Daisy Rock guitar? You may be surprised. They're not bad instruments!

Of course, you have to be REALLY secure in your manhood to sit in a GC with one, considering the enormous amount of wankage pressing in from all sides...

Play. Just play.

Heh...I'm comfortable enough with my masculinity that I won't hesitate to wear one of my daughter's Cinderella or Barbie band-aids if there's nothing else available...Daisy Rock for me then...look out GC wankers, here I come...

Hey thanny, etc. - robb is (barely ;) ) keeping this interesting and not pornographic. Let's not forget that women are welcome and encouraged to participate here. Let's not look like we're completely out of hand.

You know, that bass would look sweet if it was outlined in black instead of puke.

I'm man enough to play one of them (as is) in public as long as it sounds good. Any nasty comments will be replied with my knuckle mark on someones forehead.

If you think my playing is bad, you should hear me sing!

Probably so, but anyone (male or female) that has their picture taken in a glamorous style and posted in a public place has to expect a certain amout of objectification. (Sure am glad you spelled that first!) And I think that's exactly what Daisy Rock wants... Daddy likes the endorder so he buys the guitar for his daughter.

well, i may leave my house unlocked and thusly expect to come home to find my stuff gone. but does that make it right, simply because i expected it?

sure, there's a difference between the two situations. the point was more that expectation of behavior shouldn't serve as a justification of said behavior.

i don't know. i think that objectification is insipid because at its root it implies that women are only valuable for the fact that they're women, and only when they're attractive.

but while i enjoy the endorsers page because it's mostly women, mostly attractive in one way or another to me, i'd like to believe that the simple fact that they're presumably all musicians takes my admiration to a somewhat higher level.

on the one hand, i don't think it's wrong to appreciate a woman for her beauty. on the other hand, i don't like it when people objectify women (as defined above), and i don't want to contribute to that sort of atmosphere. so the fact that we know there's more to these people than what they look like, i think, adds just enough dimension to make it acceptable.

maybe i missed the mark. or maybe i'm a hypocrite.

Trouble with that is: men like to look at hot chicks. That's called nature. Posting the Daisy Rock endorsers page is no crime. Take it easy on yourself, Robb - you're only a man.

Ever seen the Daisy Rock Retro-H? Sweet semi-hollow bass with a 34" scale. They make it in a couple of non-gender-specific colors, too. I want one in electric blue.

another good idea would be smack the offender over the head with it so when they have to explain the 6 inch gash in their forehead "I was hit with a daisy..."

I've already been informed that this

is my 15 year old's next birthday present.

Is it just me, or do they seem to be taking off more now that they've expanded from the heart and daisy shapes?

I so love the daisy chain motif on the fretboard. That would look really far out with my Kaftan.
