Bass_god_offspring
Hey guys. I just got home from playing a show. overview: Great show...and i got a blood nose! haha, first time ever in my life. a guy from another band came onstage who loved us so much he jumped on me, hugging, kissing, and basically raping me, hahahaha. He hit me in the nose with his face and gave me such a bloody nose. it was so amazing. Now i have blood all over my bass...BATTLE SCARS!!!!! tehehhe. it was very hard though, trying to play..sing, and manage a bloody nose while still having a fun time I got blood all over the mic as well...so much that after i used it, the band after us had problems with it cutting out, lol. It was a christian venue (hardcore, Post hardcore, and Grindcore bands playing, so the Cross on the wall was the only thing really pointing the holy aspect out), but man,....no one really stopped the guy. i mean, it was fun becuase i'm fine now, i just wonder where the guys running it were, hahahah, oh well. thought you all might want to know...we have video of the whole thing though if anyone is interested, tehehhe, night!! -BGO 5 words you should live by... kenfxj
Dude, you're gonna have to learn how to swing that bass in self defense. Seriously. You never know when the goofball rushing the stage might have bad intentions. Push the button Frank.

ArwinH
I Played a christian show wth project 86, pillar and some other really heavy bands. Our guitar player went to check out one of the bands the night before; the singer jumped off teh stage screaming "I am invincible" and landed hard on a concrete floor, then got back up and started a mosh pit! www.myspace.com/movementwithoutmotion

Stackimo
That is too cool, BGO. I want to see it. "Some people are like "slinkies". It's great that you have a good attitude about the incident, but there are too many whackos out there to let that sort of thing go on. My whole trick is to keep the tune well out in front. Bottomgottem
Yeah, that qualifies for some pit bull style bass player response. I'm afraid that I would have gotten thrown out. We are a little more cautious about such things in my group given that we have a female singer/guitarist. No one gets onstage. Period. Never. Will not happen. They have tried. Oh, yes... They have tried... WWLD My whole trick is to keep the tune well out in front. LLroomtempJ
wow. I wonder if that guy even remembers what he did. He needs either an intervention, a serious butt kicking...or a mixture of both. jason 2cor5:21 Soli Deo Gloria "it's the beauty of a community. it takes a village to raise a[n] [LLroomtempJ]." -robb My YouTube Channel

way2fat
A Fender Jazz isn't balanced as well as an M-16 for executing a butt-stroke, but it can be accomplished by gripping the neck about the third fret and grasping the upper horn with the other hand. not as much power as P-bass, but a little quicker for that close-in work. www.ethertonswitch.com
Bottomgottem
The trick would be to fashion some sort of a quick release for your staplock system. The only question, after the bass is free, is whether or not you are going to fully utilize the strap pin. My whole trick is to keep the tune well out in front.
