josh a Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 Apart from the best feeling ever, my amp actually sucked (an R2).It distorted and generally sounded bad, I am defo going to get a new speaker for it (thanks greenboy!)Anyway, the gig was funny as, no pa or anything, someones party, there was one other band playing and we defo rocked harder.Playing live is the best thing ever!

josh a Posted December 23, 2005 Author Posted December 23, 2005 Yeah, I learnt a load of stuff for next time...like make sure people don't change your amp settings and remember what you had it set to...and don't lose tuners...it was awesome!!
Mighty Thumb Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Congrats! Nothing feels better than performing live. Welcome to the club. Rock on! Mighty Thumb
Bassplayerjoe Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 You're right it is one of the best feelings ever. Keep getting your name out there and playing at paries. Congrats, like Grandad Geoff said, YOU WILL GET ADDICTED!!! "All things are possible through Christ." (Matt 19:26) My band: http://www.purevolume.com/fadingsilence
moot Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Man! You've only just begun! Just wait until you get to drive 3 hours to a dive in the middle of nowhere that smells like stale beer and urine and play to nobody while the owner keeps asking you to turn it down! Good times. Gooood times. Just kidding dude. Sort of. Congrats and keep on rockin'. "He is to music what Stevie Wonder is to photography." getz76 I have nothing nice to say so . . .
jcadmus Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 Very cool. Welcome to the club. "Tours widely in the southwestern tip of Kentucky"
FunkyLemz Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 Now all you need is to get a good job and pick up a bigger amp.

The Fonz Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 hooked, eh? it's an amazing feeling to have people dig the noise you're making. and yes, NEVER LET ANYONE NEAR YOUR AMP!!!! that is paramount. i had a guitar player decide he wanted to set my tone. i came at him so fast he needed to change his pants. Eeeeeehhhhhhhhh.
UTS-D Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 sounds like my first gig. I played though 2 weiner-watt guitar amps. it was awesome. 17 years and 6 bands later I can proudly say that I've been having a blast and I'm never going to stop and why? Because.... I'M ADDICTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is what I've wanted to do since I was 3 and there's nothing I'd rather do. UNDER THE STONE Me
g. Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 i had a guitar player decide he wanted to set my tone. i came at him so fast he needed to change his pants.I thought it was just small dogs that did that. .
