Master Volume for Jazz Bass

Interesting conversation guys! Although I feel like I've learned something, I think a lot of it went right over my head.

On a seperate note, I've been checking out BBE stomp boxes as a way to shape tone. Another I've seen is called a Radial Tonebone. Any thoughts?

Ahh, the quest for tone!!!

jlrush,

It's LB75F {I barely remember model numbers of even the gear I have ; } - fretless Five. It's either gotten better and better as I have, or...

Well, anyway, when I bought it I had tried a lot of basses that cost considerably more and it didn't come up short then. The market has become more competitive since then (Oct or Nov 1998) but other than being more into Sixes now, this bass still does it for me. The attention to detail, the wood quality, the weight and balance, the neck, all great. Nothing else has really turned my head in a serious way except for maybe a fanned Dingwall or Bee or one of the other luthiers who are beginning to build fanned instruments.
