OT: Good ideas, bad ideas

35" Scale for b string? Good idea.

Fanned frets for variable scale? Good idea.

Reverse-winding the 2nd pickup to eliminate hum? Good idea.

Replace batteries before a gig? Good idea.

Sending 42 Cambodian midget wrestlers to beat up a lion? VERY, VERY BAD IDEA.

I'm not trying to make light of deaths, but this type of poor foresight is just stunning.

"For instance" is not proof.

Wow. Any response I might have for that seems either inappropriately amusing or amusingly inappropriate.

Although I will say it sounds like quite the mane event.

What about the government allowing this to take place for 50% a head? What about the thousands of spectators that sold out that coloseum? Yang is not the only one to blame here.

I just did some more research on the "news item".

It's fake.

Real BBC webpage which has an explanation halfway down the page.

Look at the offending article....the URL indicates that it didn't come from the BBC.

Here\'s another article about the Urban Legend.

But 42 bassplayers would have no trouble with a lion. And I ain't lyin'. :D

That had just gone around the office this morning. The page was pasted directly into the email so there was no URL to reference, even if I had thought about it.

Pretty snide if you ask me. Snide!

A visitor in the zoo asked a zookeeper why the lion was constantly licking his backside.

The zookeeper replied, "Well, this morning he broke out of his cage and killed and ate a guitarist. Now, he's trying to get the taste out of his mouth."
