Schertler rig

Just came across this company when searching for something unbass-related. This rig looks rather like the pole-mount mid/high & above floor-standing subwoofer combo that Greenboy was discussing many moons ago.

Looks rather nifty for doublers or anyone in lower volume (though 118dB isn't quiet by any means!) situations.

The sub has an XLR out with high pass filter @ 120Hz so that the cabs works as a true active 3-way system; which also means that the mid/high unit should manage more than 118dB as the sub is doing all the LF work. I think that 120Hz is a low enough subwoofer crossover frequency for the sound to appear to be coming from the mid/high unit, with the sub just providing 'non-directional' weight.

...who is in a GAS-free utopia but willing and able to tempt others with juicy morsels of bass... ;)
