zeronyne
Is there anything inherently disadvantageous to "finishing" an ebony fretted fingerboard? I'f seen fairly glossy fretted maple fingerboards, but never rosewood or ebony that wasn't a fretless. "For instance" is not proof.
jeremy c
It seems to me that I've seen a Rickenbacker with a finished rosewood fingerboard. Free download of my cd!.
dcr
Yes, all Ric 4001 & 4003 basses have rosewood fingerboards, & all are gloss finished. I can't see any reason why it would be a bad thing to finish ebony. But really, isn't this the sort of question that Carey should be answering for you?
