I just played one at Guitar Center..

What a great sounding amp...

I plugged in a Fender Precision...

but $2000. for a 100 watt combo is a bit high..

The more I play around with cabinets the more I realize I like a single 15 best...

WOW!! I don't care what name is on it - $2000?!? Even if it sounds like a 300 watt Ampeg - $2000?!?

Bet it does sound sweet though. :thu:

I have nothing nice to say so . . .

For just over $2K you could get an AccuGroove Tri-112 and EA iAmp 800. Mmmmmmm.

I love my Ampeg B50R 1x12 w/ the Ol' Skool blue tolex -- for <$300 used!

Were you at the 14th St. GC? I was down that way this evening.

Peace.

Sweets..I was out in the Carle Place store on Long Island..

We had a rehearsal for The Mad Trio that ended at 6PM and John the guy who runs the studio and plays keys needed some gear...

That price is outrageous.

You could buy the original, not the reissue on eBay right now for $699.

Original B-15N on eBay

They are great sounding studio amps but way underpowered for today's live playing.

I sold mine in 1970, and have never missed it. (other than for sentimental reasons--like the girlfriend I got rid of in 1970. A nice idea at the time, but not for the long haul.)
