I have the same cabinet. Alone it's not too good, IMO, but couple it with another cabinet, in my case a Goliath Jr., and it really adds alot.

I was using it with an Avatar B115, that really didn't work well by itself either. In that case it worked well. But together they made a nice inexpensive stack.

 

Now that I have two Acme Low B2s I am thinking of getting rid of the Avatar cabs.

I've heard a lot of that about the Avatar 2x10. I hear it's great when you add more to it.

 

On the other hand, I have the Avatar 2x12 and it is beyond amazing. Soooooo much bass response and volume. It has a massive tone when you push it a little or a lot. I haven't been able to drive the speakers beyond their capabilities, even with the low B and the Peavey Kosmos and SansAmp bass cranked. It was an experiment--not my normal setup. I get an amazing tone out of all my basses with it.

This is the BEST idea I've seen in this thread. Another cab would cost you the same $$$ as a small amp. And there would be the benefit of knowing that you have 2 cabs when needed (the R1000 has more than enough power to drive two cabs properly).
