Um, my daughter's name is Maya. :eek:

That "drunken father of the bride" in your example will be me one day, and those sons of bitches in the band had best come prepared to play "The Dance of Maya" or there'll be a serious ass-whoopin' passed out. :evil:

This The Dance of Maya , right? :cool:

Anyone want to volunteer their band now while they have plenty of time to get their Mahavishnu (and maybe some Tony Williams' Lifetime and Return to Forever) up to snuff? C'mon, who says you can't dance in 10/8 or 7/4 or 19/8?! :D

Peace.

Is she a magician yet? : }

Rightfully so.

Nice transcription - great composition! Reminds me of a mandala when all the sections get layered. The development thusly seems to progress inevitably from the seed of the intro. Godlike! ...The same could be said of Stanley Jordan's incredible version of STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN. I visually liken that type of development to the exposed visual mandala segment in THE TIME BANDITS. Can you tell I like this stuff? : }

I'll play the Allan Holdsworth parts on MR SPOCK, PROTO COSMOS, and RED ALERT!

C'mon, who says you can't dance in 10/8 or 7/4 or 19/8?! :D
Certainly doesn't phase anyone doing middle east and balkan folk musics : }

Wow Ben ironically enough you posted my band's setlist. And we play it all in just under 2 hours. Ha yea...right...

Where's the 'Sabbath? The Seger? Metallica? Deep Purple? hmm ah well its all a matter of opinion - and we all know what opinions are like.

"The world will still be turning when you've gone." - Black Sabbath
