One looks like a J-Bass with 'buckers and the other looks like an Ibanez and a Ric had a baby.

pretty woods though, I bet they sound nice.

They look worthwhile. If they embody what the luthier considers improvments on the sound or ergonomics of what after all is a pretty common shape and layout theme, that's no bad thing.

But.

DID JAMERSON HAVE ONE?!?

*LOL* Seeing as how D'Alegria hasn't been around for that long (definitely not for THAT long) I'd say no :D

There ARE sound files available you know. If you can't find em, let me know and I'll post a direct link. I thought they sounded pretty impressive :thu:

They look pretty nice.

I do have one issue (and d'Alegria isn't the only one who does this - Smith and others do it). When an instrument is bolt-on, don't create a center panel in the body so it looks like a neck thru.

Nice wood there - I like that blue signature model (of course I'd order mine in red...).

We had someone from Brazil on the forum for a while - was this one of the builders mentioned? Have to whip out the search later...

They sound amazing too :D And from what I was told they are really comfortable. My buddy Steve Dunning once told me that if I could afford one, I should get one. But I can't afford one :(

You should see the purple Defender TB model. There'll be pics up soon. I want one !!! And all the woods are Brasilian, and they only use woods from trees that are not endangered (can't find the right words, but it's late and I'm tired you know :) )

I don't think so. But then again it's always possible ...

Ah, my local luthier offered to use / sell me a piece of brazilian mahogany he had just gotten in his shop that would have filled the entire top of my bass and left enough for the headstock, pickups covers, and a bathroom accesories ensemble to boot. It was incredibly figured, unusual for such wood, and beautiful.

And he assured me that the source was "green" ... maybe. But my wallet wasn't growing that kind of lettuce at that time.
