wow, only 11 hours for me. Just go to LA and hang a right. :)

Of course I'll be in Vegas that weekend with my wife for our 31st Anniversary.

One of these years I'll be able to make it. I loved the first one.

Jeremy, I'll make sure Dan is aware of the holiday conflict so that in the future it's scheduled differently.

Me too. I would love to go though. Maybe we should grab Big Red 67 and pool it on down?

Darn! I wish I could make it, but I have my first gig with my original music band that very night.

Maybe next time.

Sounds doable. At this point, my weekends are hit/miss. basically I never know if I have to work on the weekends until late Friday. Big Red from Sacto? I'm guessing you'll head down 12 or 88? I5 or 99 for Big Red. either way, we can all meet somewhere.

I guess I'm surprised that from our NorCal Lowdowners there are only two maybes. Of course this has been on page 3 for awhile so maybe this bump will trigger some more interest. Bassplayers sometimes pay up to $50 an hour for a lesson and here you get an all day event with some killer players for only $35.

I just talked to Nathan East & Myron Dove. (only 2 of the 6 or 8 pro players there) Man are they excited about BassQuake!

Myron is going to have a full band for his section as he'll not just talk about groove, but actually demonstrate & explain it in a live performance...very cool!

Nathan will be going over & demonstrating many things including "the business side" of a bass player. Many times we are music rich & business poor as musicians, but Nathan will straighten all that out.

That's all, just a reminder & hope to see you there!

With my current schedule I wasn't able to attend all day but did get to catch Trip Wamsley and then Todd Johnson & Kristen Korb. I always enjoy seeing Trip and Todd, this was the first time seeing Kristen. Not only is she a great URB player but also a very good jazz singer. Since I had to leave for a gig I didn't get to see Myron Dove and Nathan East. I did hear from Mark Wright today that Myron's set was incredible and that Nathan has a DVD about the "business" of being a bass player and sold all that he had brought with him. I wish I would have gotten there earlier to see Stu Hamm.
