BigKahuna855
i read the specs on the OLP MM2 (musicman copy), but it confused me. how can the bass have two volume controls, but only one pickup? if anyone could help explain this i would appreciate it "I'm thinkin' we should let bump answer this one... The Fonz
it's a split coil. to be honest the two volume pots don't make much of a difference, but that's why they're there. Eeeeeehhhhhhhhh.
dohhhhh6
^ Agreed, I just turn both of the volume knobs all the way up to make sure there's no hum. Still interested? Do a search on OLP for oodles of results. In Skynyrd We Trust

The Fonz
that's basically what two jazz pickups are. a humbucker is two coils which when used together cancel out eachothers hum. Eeeeeehhhhhhhhh.

My Warwick Streamer Pro-M has a MM style pickup with a volume and a blend for each coil. The blend control is fantastic, going from P-Bass mid-honk towards the neck and J-bridge bite at the bridge. I didn't think much of it either until I got my hands on it.
