doc taz
Not bad, but I'd have the headstock color match the body's. The pickguard's a nice touch, though. sevenstring.org profile my flickr page
Mr. Phil
Ditto on the matching headstock. What is that, Faux Abalone pickguard? _Sweet Willie_
Nice. I'd like to see that w/ a maple fingerboard, a fifth string, and unpainted headstock ... . . . . . . . . ...in my house! Seems like there's a "vacationing" forum regular who might like that, especially if you added a couple of strings and a V-bass pickup... Taz-man and Phil, look more closely at the photo. I think the headstock does match the body. Thanks, zero, for sharing! Peace. --SW spreadluv Fanboy? Why, yes! Nordstrand Pickups and Guitars. Messiaen knew how to parlay the funk. DONUT
That is very close to the color of the Lull bass that will be mine in a month or so. I think it will be a bit darker.

Dig it, you were going to have a vintage tinted maple 'board on that Lull, weren't you? Which model again? What color 'guard? That will be a sick, sick, sick bass. Peace. --s-dub spreadluv Fanboy? Afro_Man
Strangely enough thats a quite nice colour considering i really dislike green. DONUT
Yeah. Vintage tint and then some. Its going to be really dark. Black pick guard. Alder body.P5 with a j pickup added. All passive. Kind of a brother to my ash rosewood. I'm so excited that I think about it several times a day. It's just not right.

zeronyne
The headstock is black, although I agree that in the pic it looks really dark green. This combo is going to be available on all models except the Axis and S.U.B. "For instance" is not proof.
jeremy c
Not my color. What's wrong with blue? But I do like the pickguard. I bet if they sold just the pickguard they could sell a reasonable number of them. On my Sterling fretless, which is tobacco sunburst, I replaced the pickguard with a clear one so you can see the beautiful finish. Free download of my cd!. Basshappi
Pretty I dig the pickguard. Nothing is as it seems but everything is exactly what it is - B. Banzai Life is what happens while you are busy playing in bands.
dcr
MusicMan change colors more often than I change socks. I do dig the green, though! Is it just me, or does it make that chrome control plate really, really stick out? If I'm not mistaken, that's their "abalone" pickguard, which is available on all models. Why don't we see more paua on instruments?
doc taz
I'd prefer translucent green, though. Oh wait... can't do that!! I have a bass in that color. Maybe the shade of blue that Steve Morse uses for his sig guitar, or a black sparkle finish minus the pickguard. Five String, 22 frets, maybe fretless... sevenstring.org profile my flickr page
getz out
I like this one: http://www.ernieball.com/musicman/instrument_images/large/151/151-02-21-04.jpg
saxofunk
Nice one Getz, I prefer the white one, too! On the green MM, the pickguard doesn't work for me. That shade of green would look great with a white racing strip and spinners in the knobs. - Matt W.
getz out
Maybe a white stripe and a white pickguard? Yeah.
wraub
I dig the green, but it's not my favorite shade. However, I agree that a rally stripe would do wonders. Lose the pickguard, and I'll take it. Peace, wraub I'm a lot more like I am now than I was when I got here.
zeronyne
This is still my all time favorite looking MM: http://www.basscentral.com/musicman/musicman/4_sr_sil_namm_u.jpg I would buy it now if it were available. wraub
Yep, that is indeed one of the better looking MMs I have seen. Lose the pickguard and I'll take it. Peace, wraub I'm a lot more like I am now than I was when I got here.
saxofunk
Thanks for the affirmation wraub & getz... it helps to know that I'm not the only one who appreciates a well placed rally stripe.
