Grant - Toupé
This isn't off topic I hope. I've just completed work on our new website. http://www.toupe.co.uk For those of you that don't know the band (Me on my Pedulla MVP6 and Karl on his Tobias's) and a drummer. Check out the site and let me know what you think. I've posted this on a few other bass sites (feel like a right spammer) but I'm so proud of this thing that I just want the whole world to see it. Meal deals will be available soon. Toupé - www.toupe.co.uk 2Bass Players - One drummer - No guitar - NO RULES!

_Sweet Willie_
OK, finally checked it out. Very cool. Quite a few nice and subtle graphics touches. I like subtle. Why can't we order Burt's autobiography through your site? Why doesn't the drummer get to have a gear section (e.g., The Bun Drum?) like you and Karl (The Burger Bass), even if he is a drummer? Peace. --SW spreadluv Fanboy? Why, yes! Nordstrand Pickups and Guitars. Messiaen knew how to parlay the funk.

BURGERS - Toupé (Sung in a faux Elvis style) Hey Cilla, get your butt in here, I'm in the head, yeah, feelin' like I'm dead, Oh, I'm so hungry, I need somethin' to eat, - oh, them burgers, I love them burgers. Thanks Cilla, you're my baby doll, You're looking better than a burger in a white bread roll, I'd eat you right now, but you need a little relish, - oh, them burgers, I love them burgers. It's so easy, It tastes a little cheesey, But baby, baby, baby, I promise it's good, I love the way you work it, Precilla you're so perfect, I'd cover you in mayo and eat you if a could. CHORUS: Open it up and put the meat inside! X3 -Oh them burgers I love them burgers, Open it up and put the meat inside! X3 -Oh them burgers I love them burgers, Hey Cilla, are you lonesome tonight? I got a prime peice of protein delight, I'll cook it on up, huh, give me husta minute, -oh them burgers, I love them burgers. Hey Cilla, you like my new jump suit? I wanna take it off when you're looking so cute, I've eaten burgers before, wearin' nothin' but my boots, -oh, them burgers I love them burgers... Bridge-Chorus....blah blah blah! You get the idea. Now - who's going to post that in the best vocalist thread? Toupé - www.toupe.co.uk 2Bass Players - One drummer - No guitar - NO RULES!

Grant - Toupé
Thanks Mr. Phil. I'm glad it is funny. I get bit nervous taking a swipe at Elvis - despite the fact I love his music. Connie - I took the photos (except in the gallery) and made up all the funny text images and then my girlfriend did all the tricky stuff like making th pages and telling me to stop going over the top. Oh - and I ate that burger. It was fine! Toupé - www.toupe.co.uk 2Bass Players - One drummer - No guitar - NO RULES!

I named my MVP 6 'Burt Reynolds' when someone suggested the title of 'Sharky's Machine' a Burt film where the tag line was 'Burt is Sharky, Nobody Leans on Sharky's Machine!' And I was brought up watching Smokey and the Bandit at least once a year (this still applies for Sally Fields alone - full story in Burt Reynold's 'My Life' - which is a good read if you think he is a dumb jock with nothing good to say and you want to be proved wrong.) http://i.imdb.com/Icons/poster_under_licence.gif Toupé - www.toupe.co.uk 2Bass Players - One drummer - No guitar - NO RULES! kahlil
I really like that site. I get so sick and tired of doing corporate web design and doing the same crap all the time (they all want the same lame setup), it is refreshing to see interesting design and navagation and all that stuff. That site is very well set up. Compliments to the chef.
Whacked
Interesting. now everything fits in quite well. Sharkeys Machine, gotta love that But I was just jivin ya really Burt is cool, and I love the Smokey flicks but being somewhat of a gear head (in reference to cars) Cannonball Run was more my fav flick. Did you know that Cannonball Run is based off an actual event that was run a few times in the '70's? Brock Yates (writer/editor of Car & Driver) spearheaded those events. The Dodge Ambulance used in the movie is the SAME van that Mr. Yates drove in the '74 Cannonball Run (believe it was '74, or maybe that was the model year of the van). Also many of the events in the movies are actual events that happened to the 'runners. in fact, the scene when the cops pulled the ambulance over is the same dialoge that Brock Yates used to get out of the speeding ticket/arrest. Grant - Toupé
Great story man. I love Cannonball Run as well. I used to like the girls in the Lambourghini (Spelling am bad like mine grammmar). There is the Gumball Rally which I'm sure you're aware of. That actually finished at Beaulieu Motor Museum about 5 miles away from my house a few years back. It was great to see all of these super cool cars driving around the area. I'm not a big car nut, but I love ordinary people doing nutty things that they just 'have to do'. When you see people at the end of that sort of achievement I like to look at them and see their minds asking 'so, what's next?' I love that feeling. I drive a Peugot - diesel. Ok. But it has no hot girls in lycra body suits in it. Which is bad. Toupé - www.toupe.co.uk 2Bass Players - One drummer - No guitar - NO RULES!
