_Sweet Willie_
My July '04 Bass Player magazine came in the mail today. I thought my fellow LDLers would be interested to know that our beloved Geezer Butler is the featured artist (i.e., cover story). Right on, Geezer! I also thought that we should be proud that our very own ClatterAmy (a.k.a., Amy from Clatter) has one of her lines as the "cool groove" this month! Congrats, Amy! Peace. --SW spreadluv Fanboy? wraub
Mucho Congrats, Amy!! (Oh, and congrats to that "Geezer" fellow as well, of course.) Peace, wraub I'm a lot more like I am now than I was when I got here.
getz out
Yeah, I was digging the Amy spot! Nice work. Good article on Geezer. He seems like a good chap. I loved the picture of him in the flaming black leather pants. He looked a bit like Decartes, no? I never realized that Tony Iommi lost his fingertips! Yup, those flaming leather pants are killer. And, yes, he does remind me a bit of Descartes. I still have to read the article. They had some nice things to say about a Peavey Cirrus 6, including an interesting tidbit about how a single builder sees a given bass through from start to finish. I thought that was cool. Peace. --SW spreadluv Fanboy? Why, yes! Nordstrand Pickups and Guitars. Messiaen knew how to parlay the funk.

Connie Z
Amy, I am totally totally totally impressed!!! To have one of your basslines featured in Bass Player is like... the most awesome honor! The photo is great! The write-up is great! Your web address is there! You have been immortalized in print!!! Congratulations on this wonderful event. I can't wait to show this to all of my musician friends, and say, "This is one of the bass players from the LowDown!" They are going to be equally impressed. And I can't wait to 'attempt' to play your bassline! Good going Amy. You make me so proud (sniff!) ... connie z P.S. And being in the GEEZER BUTLER issue, my GOD, pure heaven!
