Danno
Hi everybody - A quick question about a preamp-poweramp combination for Bass. I want to connect a presonus tube mic pre/compressor to a typical QSC type amp, then to a 4x10 cab. The pre doesn't have an effects loop. It does have a sidechain input. How can I connect my effect pedal? 73 P Bass
I input my effects before my pre(bass-tuner-compressor-distortion-SWR). I don't need no stinkin' loops! "Start listening to music!". -Jeremy C
getz out
most pedal-type effects do not have a hot enough signal for an effects loops. plug it directly into the input of the preamp.
SteveC
I agree, just go right in. I used to play around with the loop, but I think overall it works better to just go directly in.
alexclaber
I'll 'fourth' that! Effects pedals and effects loops rarely get along. Alex Barefaced Ltd - ultra lightweight, high ouput, toneful bass cabs
