They work incredibly well and make a string change take only seconds.Very true, bass strings don't really stretch (neither do bike cables), the yanking just settles them (as you noted). toomuchthinking86 Posted February 8, 2004 Share Posted February 8, 2004 me personally. If the bass was just sitting there for long periods of time, I would loosen the strings some. But I am no pro.
