twotone
What do you think of this guys? http://www.musicdish.com/mag/?id=6230 "Could counterfeiting contribute to terrorism? The IFPI report states, "Connections between organized South American pirates and Middle Eastern terrorists groups: discs carrying extremist propaganda have been found in Argentina, Mauritius, Pakistan and Paraguay that come from the same source as much of the illegally-produced music in these regions. Other extremist or terrorist groups, for example in Northern Ireland, are partly funded by music piracy." What is worrisome is the impact of equating counterfeiting with terrorism. Will we see industry/government calling consumers who buy illegitimate CDs or download illegal music files online as supporting terrorism, as happened in US commercials where the connection between the average drug user and terrorists/murderous gangs/organized crime was made?" It has some other interesting facts regarding piracy in general Tom

D_dup3
There's a little much of this "you're supporting them" in the world currently (actually probably dating back awhile...). The truth is that very soon after your money leaves your hands you are not responsible for what someone else does with it---how can you be ?! This isn't an "easy cop out"; it's just the real world. Everything is interconnected but not that tightly !

Henchman
You think Osama didn't or maybe still does own stock in numerous companies? So, let's say he owns stock in say, Coca-Cola, then you would stop buyin gsoft drinks. Enough already. There's really no way these days to say for sure your not funding terroriststhrough some kind of conglomerate. IMDB Credit list President George Washington: "The government of the United States is in no sense founded on the Christian Religion." President Abraham Lincoln: "The Bible is not my book, nor Christianity my religion."
Franknputer
Geez - paying taxes is supporting terrorists. Look at the Iran-Contra fiasco, for one.
David R.
Bras found to support female terrorists In today's news, many female terrorists and even suicide bombers have claimed that they feel fully supported when wearing a bra. "I can run from AK-47 fire and not feel the usual bouncing when wearing one" declaired one anonymous woman. Usually worn under the traditional Birka, some more progressive terrorists have fashioned weapons from theirs after seeing the Austin Powers movie and not realizing it was a spoof.  -David R.
