Actually I prlayed a gig with an 800RB head and what I think was the 115SBX. It was plenty loud enough and had a good balsy rock tone. But really, the only way to know is to try one yourself.
These words, are sledgehammers of truth.

I've always been partial to Peavey Black Widow 15's. I have two old Peavey bumpy-vinyl 15" cabs, one with a BW and one with a JBL E145. With my GK 400R head, the JBL has more "oomph", but the BW is more "precise", for lack of a better word. It seems a bit snappier on the attack transient, and it doesn't bloom as much on the low notes. I really like the two in combination, But when I have to use only one, I usually go for the BW-loaded cab.

I hear only great things about Bad End's stuff also. For being as small and as light as the S15-D is, it packs a heavy punch with out getting boomy or slow sounding (50Hz-4kHz). They also make a lower frequency responding 15 (S15B-D) that will go domw to 40Hz. Lastly, they make a 15 (S15X-D) with their famous coaxil (sp?) speaker that will extend the range all the way up to 20kHz.
I didn't come here to play. I came here to make babies.
