Ayatollah, the problem was not in your question. It was a good question. A fair question. One that in recent weeks has been much on my mind. ;)

The News

 

It turned out to be a made in mexico Fender Jazz, 20 or 22 fret... I got it anyway and when I brought it home it sounds so much better than my Peavey RSB it's retarded...to think I paid 300 for it...

I used to have EXACTLY that bass! (Except that it had black knobs instead of white, over a chrome plate.) My wife always made me take it out to play instead of my Rickenbacker--she thought it just sounded better! Probably shouldn't have parted with it.
