in my experience- i have found two that excel:

the EBS Unichorus and the TC Electronics Chrus/Flanger..

however, the less expensive Boss stuff is nice, too!

suggestion- buy one that has true bypass- some of the cheaper all-in-one units suck the tone right out of your bass even when "bypassed"--

Praise ye the LORD.

....praise him with stringed instruments and organs...

Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD.

I use a reasonably affordable Boss Bass Chorus CEB-3 and it's very nice. The best feature is the ability to control filter out the lows so only higher frequencies are effected. I like this because I think that in some cases, chorusing the lower freqs can sound pretty muddy.

I would love to try the two pedals Adrian mentioned -- the EBS UniChorus and the TC Elec Stereo Chorus/Flanger. I have heard nothing but tastiness about these two.

Fanboy? Why, yes! Nordstrand Pickups and Guitars.

Messiaen knew how to parlay the funk.
