The Fonz Posted August 14, 2003 Posted August 14, 2003 in the past week two greats have shuffled off this mortal coil. gregory hines you all no doubt have heard of. but today i was shocked and saddened to learn of the unexpected passing of herb brooks. the 66 year old was the coach of the "man behind the miracle" of the 1980 USA olympic hockey team. we'll miss you coach... Eeeeeehhhhhhhhh.
ClarkW Posted August 14, 2003 Posted August 14, 2003 Yup, I heard about both of these guys. I think Gregory Hines was only 57 or so. Relatively young age to go for both of them. Good men though, each having achieved some measure of notoriety for their hard work.
Dan South Posted August 14, 2003 Posted August 14, 2003 It's been a rough summer. Many legendary people have left us - musicians, actors, dancers, comedians, politicians, athletes. The Black Knight always triumphs!
_Sweet Willie_ Posted August 14, 2003 Posted August 14, 2003 Hines and Brooks -- definitely a tough couple of losses. Certainly thread-worthy! Thanks, E, for getting this up. spreadluv Fanboy? Why, yes! Nordstrand Pickups and Guitars. Messiaen knew how to parlay the funk.
