Myles, the commentator of the "Guitar Forum" asked one of us to post this.

"The tube primer downloads are now at:

If somebody can post this in some other forums, such as the Fender, PRS, Weber, or whatever, I will be thankfull.

For a copy of the Tube Primer books, follow the links here:

v1.31 is 47 pages (about 1.5 mb) and v3.08 is 172 pages and about 5 mb so be patient downloading. Either version will give you very detailed information on vacuum tubes and amplifier hints and additional information.

V1.31 http://www.guitaramplifierblueprinting.com/Tubeprimerandselection.pdf

V3.08 is at http://www.guitaramplifierblueprinting.com/tubeprimermessage.pdf

During the week most days at:

www.groovetubes.com where I can be emailed at techsupport@groovetubes.com where I head the SAG (Special Applications Group)

'making guitar players sound better ... one amp at a time'"

It's great wealth of information, as is Myles :thu: . He doesn't mention it in this post, but over in the Guitar Forum some of us "donated" $15 to keep the literature as "shareware".

Take a look. There's a tremendous amount of information there. Myles is THE MAN  when it comes to tubes and tube amplifiers. He knew my somewhat obscure guitar amp, Randall Tube Pro II, very well and easily made recommendations for "biggest bang for the buck". :thu:

I don't know how important having a tube amp, or THE best tubes in it are to the sound of a bass, but this is THE best CURRENT info available. Just ask me. :D

Dave

Gotta' geetar... got the amp. There must be SOMEthing else I... "need".
