_Sweet Willie_
Welcome! I have a Carvin LB-70 (fretted, neck-thru, 4-string). It's been good to me and I think it's a fine instrument. It is definitely a good instrument for the price. Try doing a search for "Carvin." You will find lots of Carvin discussion has taken place on this board. The "search" feature is in the upper right part of the screen. Peace. spreadluv Fanboy? Why, yes! Nordstrand Pickups and Guitars. Messiaen knew how to parlay the funk. SteveC
I hope to be able to give you an opinion in a few days. I am trying a Carvin for the first time. I ordered a fretless 6 string with all the options. It should be here this week. Stay tuned.........
Talk Box
carvin basses are nice if you can think really fast. or if you are like me and cant control 6 knobs and a switch you stick with the more traditional brands! talkbox If I was talking to the ice cream, I would be eating you. orphan wells
they basses are well made and very playable. they come with a few new features also, like 35 1/4 scale and P series electronics which means it has piezos. they have plenty of other options too. i personally like the bunny brunell series. they play a little like the peavey cirrus series. I didn't come here to play. I came here to make babies.

bassingeorge
Carvin basses are awesome! I love the Bb-75 with a figured walnut top, 5 piece koa-maple neck, humbucker, abalone block inlays, piezo bridge, gold hardware and gloss finish... I played the exact one I'm describing at carvin's store when I bought my carvin amp...Man they sound incredible (the bass) Got bass?
bruiser_dup2
I have two Bolts, one fretted and one fretless, and love them. Both were built from kits. Fortunately, I live near the Covina store so was able to try them out before buying. Stop by Carvin.com and visit the Discussion Boards; it's a friendly crew.
