Zoom 708 II

Anyone have one of these, or tried one? Evidently the 708 II replaces the 708 (there are threads about the latter, but not the former), and is supposed to be a huge improvement, at least based on the user reviews I've seen online. But what users do I trust the most? Youse guys! So, anyone know about it? It looks pretty good for me, since I don't want to spend a ton, & really only need some mild effects (some compression, some EQ, the occasional wee bit of chorus).

There are some purist that dont like the multieffects. After a year reading post about this topic, I'd ecently purchased a used Zoom BFX-708 bass processor. It's a toy, yes, you can play. But I'd purchased for a 100 bucks and now I gave a metronome, a tuner, a simple drummer to practice, and a huge espectrum of sound that open my mind to make new tunes. Mix them with the proper technique and you can take weird songs and especially... fun!. If you are a sasquatch guy like me, the expression pedal will be lost under your feet.

I've tried a number of Zoom products over the years, and never liked any of them... IMO, they basically suck. But thats me... I think the Digitech pedals are a much better "bang for the buck." EBS effects are excellent, but may be a bit pricey depending on your budget.

You might find this previous thread quite informative... :thu:

Rock on.....

I have the 708, the one with the expression pedal.

IMO, its more of a toy than an effects processor.

Plus, its Zoom. They suck. :D
