For anyone who lives near San Jose, California,

I invite you to listen to KKUP 91.5 on Sunday, July 13.

From approximately 2:45 pm to 3:30 pm (more or less), Bassed on Jazz will be performing live.

Bassed on Jazz has three bass players and a drummer.

Wally Malone on six string bass,

Kurt Ribak on upright and four string electric,

Jeremy Cohen on six string and five string piccolo

and Steve Pefley on drums are the members of the group.

The music played is jazz...favoring bebop.

Give us a listen if you're in range of the station!

If it's possible to tape the show, I will.

KKUP has a repeater on the Monterey Bay as well. When fees were introduced for Internet broadcast they cut the stream. I'll be playing with Lady Bo as well from 4 - 4:30 p.m. This is KKUP's annual Jazz Marathon. This station takes no money from any businesses, all individual subscribers. All who work for the station do it gratis. This station supports local artists, they will play your music and also have you on the air to promote your gigs. If you're in the area of Santa Clara you can catch it live in the parking lot of Franklin Square. There's a BBQ as well.

The gig went great. It was recorded on ADAT. We'll have something in about a month. The engineer will take it home and break the whole weekend down into CD's for each performance group.
