Danelectro effects?

Don't laugh. I like to think I'm among friends.

Any experience with these? Any good? I know they're not exactly top of the line, but hey, neither am I! :D And their reviews at Harmony Central are surprisingly good. And obviously the price is right...

Specifically I'm curious about 3 of their mini-pedals: the compressor, the chorus, & the 7-band EQ.

My friend has a whole stockpile of them for a guitar setup.

They sound great with guitar. They're noisy, but this guitarist's entire rig is noisy, so who knows.

They're no very durable, he's had to fix them numerous times from just mild use (rehearsals).

I have never used them on bass.

Danelectro: Good enough for guitarists. And their drummers.

NOT good enough for bass players.

something always made me laugh about Waynes world...

probably the fact that in the club scene where Wayne first sees the Bass player girl, The two guitarists have complete Marshall 8 12 stacks....and the bassist has a small crate 1 15 practice amp.

hahahaha, guess we knew what instruments the directors played ;)

All the times I've seen that scene and never noticed that.

I'd leave the Danelectro pedals to the guitar players. We have better toys available to us.

Actually, I've had the chorus box for several years, and it's held up just fine thru hundreds of gigs, thousands of rehearsals and any number of times of being dropped down the stairs. I like the tone, the speed, the adjustability and the sound. The other effects you asked about I have no opinion - don't use them, never owned them. Unless there's been a change to the design of the chorus pedal, I'd recommend it.

So there.

Nyah. :D
