SplitNick
I do not see any thing on the forum for sharing .wav files and such. I was just wondering A. is it possible and B. does anyone else think it would be a good idea to be able to share files of us bass players being bass players. Anyway, got an opinion let me know. ...
It's not possible to share/post files directly to this forum; it doesn't support it. However, if you have storage space somewhere else on the web, you can very easily put links to the files on this forum. Many, many people have done this in the past to share their playing with the group; myself included.
DWBass
or.........MSN Messenger. It has a great file sharing function. You can share files back and forth with whomever as long they also have MSN Messenger. www.myspace.com/thefunkfather
BenLoy
Why wav files in particular? They're huge as hell for those of us with dial-up connections.
SplitNick
I just say .wav files because I am extremely low tech. The only computer recording device I am using right now is the windows sound recorder. I leave the more professional recording to the drummer and guitarist in the bands I play with. BenLoy
High-quality VBR-encoded Mp3s will give you comparable sound quality with much smaller file sizes. .wav files sound really good, because they contain 100% of the waveform information, but are HUUUUGE.... SplitNick
I am not real tech-savy. Can I just convert the .wav files to .mp3 files or is there a particular way to do so?
