kperison Posted June 18, 2003 Posted June 18, 2003 Anyone have some good advice/tips on creating bass lines for songs? I know you still need to lay down the beat, bump, and thump, but the songs can't be too boring... If your going to play, play it right.
The Fonz Posted June 18, 2003 Posted June 18, 2003 mmmmmmmmmm, rib tipsssssssssssssssss....... oops, sorry. not sure that i could really explain songwriting. i usually start by just playing with the kick drum on whatever the root is, then i break it up by playing with the other notes in the chord. eventually i get the feel of the groove and the melody and it writes itself. Eeeeeehhhhhhhhh.
