humabass
Anybody got any thoughts on the new Epifani's with these magnets? I read the recent BassPlayer review of the 410 and it seems positive. Any technical people out there see any downsides, such as life expectancy, sound differences, etc? These cabinets really appeal to me being an old overweight geezer with a bad knee
_Sweet Willie_
The BP review was beyond positive. They're usually pretty generous w/ their reviews, but this one was extraordinarily strong. If these UltraLight cabs sound as good as the regular series, they're probably the $#!% and then some. (The Epi UL 3x10 handles 750W RMS into 5.3 ohms and is the weight of a heavy briefcase! ) There's been some discussion on neodymium in the past -- try a search. The fellahs at The Groove Shoppe dig 'em, but they also deal 'em. Here's some decent info at the Eminence website about neodymium drivers: Eminence DeltaLite drivers . Peace. spreadluv Fanboy?
