FunkALunk Kitty
Hey Wally. I wish I could give you some ideas on places to visit for a good show while you are here in Arizona but I am from the West side of town so I am not real familiar with what there is on the East side. I am trying to talk my fiance' into heading up to Laughlin to catch the show. He loves Fleetwood Mac and I would love to be able to see you perform. If we can't make it, I hope you have a great show. Wally Malone
FunkALunk Kitty, the friend of the bands is Cal Cramer, guitarist and a good recording engineer. He says he has some ideas of places to go, he did mention a casino. How far are you from Cave Creek? He also talked about possibly having a jam at one of the clubs on Sunday with some local musicians there. Not sure if that will happen though. FunkALunk Kitty
There are plenty of casinos around. I am about 20-30 minutes from Cave Creek, depending on traffic. Let me know if there is a jam session and where. I would love to check it out if it happens.

Wally Malone
This might be my last time on a computer until I arrive at my friends house on Saturday. When I get there and see what plans everyone has in mind I let all of you know if anything such as a jam is happening. Wally I have basses to play, places to be and good music to make! Wally Malone
I'm having a enjoyable relaxing time here in Arizona. The jam isn't happening, the leader blew it off before coming, she didn't know the band was into it and Cal backed off. Leaving tomorrow to Laughlin, Nevada for the Edgewater Casino gig, not sure if I'll get online again. Wally I have basses to play, places to be and good music to make! Wally Malone
Back home now. Really liked using the in-ear monitors. The band sounded great and we were able to get a good recording off the board. Only experienced some minor problems on one night. I was hearing what sounded like a little distortion, figured out it was coming from the electronic drums. The sound man fixed it, said it was caused by a cross feed somewhere in the brain of the electronic drums. With a system as good as we used I'd be willing to not carry an amp and use in-ears anytime. _Sweet Willie_
Glad to hear the in-ears system worked so well for you. Did the guitarist manage okay? You had mentioned his concerns about not having an amp in an earlier post. Peace. spreadluv Fanboy? Why, yes! Nordstrand Pickups and Guitars. Messiaen knew how to parlay the funk. I thought his solos came off great. Wally I have basses to play, places to be and good music to make!
