jreed
What kinda of amp do you have? Is it a combo? I know some combo amps have a jack just for external speakers. If its a head and cab type deal, look and see any many channels your head has. Maybe you can run two different channels. If you do have an extra jack for an external speaker, I think those are mostly powered jacks, so, you can just plug into a cab. I think, Im kinda new on the whole tech thing myself. jreed jreed00@dcemail.com
alexclaber
I need to know how you managed to create so many new threads in so short a space of time. And whilst I'm being bitchy, could you possibly correct that typo on your (potentially very interesting thread) about guitarists? My point was that I personally find it very irritating that you can put up a thread with really obvious typos in it and not bother correcting. The other thing I've noticed is that you've started a whole bunch of threads, some of which are great, some not so great, and some that you've asked a very specific question, someone's responded with some questions before they can give you a full answer and you've never bothered replying. So if you could fill us in on the rig you want to add an extension speaker to, then maybe we can answer your original post. Assuming it's a decent speaker it'll make your rig usefully louder and a bit bassier. Keep "souround" (surround?) sound ideas for the home cinema. Check the impedance on your Peavey PA speaker. If it's 4 ohms or more try plugging it into the external speaker jack and see how it sounds. I'd recommend stacking your combo on top of the PA speaker as vertical stacks focus the sound that bit more and it helps you hear yourself if you have speakers closer to ear level.
