Weekend Today show host plays bass on show

Nice surprise this morning. Lester Holt, who is the interim co-host on the weekend Today show, is a bass player. Unfortunately, you had to watch him sitting in with The Captain & Tenille to hear him play. He played a lined fretless Fender Jazz and was solid, playing a few simple fills and taking a short but competant solo.

One of the guys in my band wrote to me to tell me about this. Then he said I should get a job at G.E. (NBC's parent company) so I could get a better music break ;)

I had a feeling... ;)

I'm a Steely Dan fan, but the change in my displayed name to Yes There's Gas In The Car was an inside joke with another poster at the SSS, Is There Gas In The Car?.

It's been a while since I really listened to my extensive Steely Dan collecion. (Note to self... pull out all those discs and listen again. :D )

It's easiest to find me on Facebook. Neil Bergman
