wraub
I will close the place!! Gonna be there to help load you out, at least. It would be cool to get some others out there, though... Committments be damned! Who's down? Peace, wraub I'm a lot more like I am now than I was when I got here.
_Sweet Willie_
I'll buzz my NY posse and see if can't get them out. A Wed at 11:30? And it's not even your birthday? It could be a challenge... spreadluv Fanboy? Why, yes! Nordstrand Pickups and Guitars. Messiaen knew how to parlay the funk.
DWBass
Ah, the Elbow Room! Brings back memories of when I played bass for a guy named Jon Steele (interesting band)! I miss NYC! www.myspace.com/thefunkfather
Idnarb
11:30? Egads, I cant make it in from the Island that late on a work day But if you have a weekend gig or earlier gig during the weekday, lemme know! music-man
Sorry E - won't be able to make it. (I'll be in Russia for two weeks ... ) The best thing about that room, in my view, is the Ampeg + 8x10 you get to plug into. The second best thing is the cheery soundguy. The third best thing is that, 40 seconds after you play a note, you get to hear it again, on its return trip from the back wall. Rock it, baby. Tom Capasso
Sorry E - I'll be out of town, and the 11:30 thing really kills it. Keep us informed about future shows... and music-man is leaving the country for two weeks. Good - we can talk about him while he's gone... Have a safe trip, my man, and good luck to your wife (hey - it's been over a year now!) - what's the gig again? Bastid - knock 'em dead. Or should I say Skyn 'em alive !!! BenLoy
That particular cheery soundman is good. There's also an ambivalent soundman who doesn't listen to anything you say and spends his time surfing the web from his PC when he should be mixing the band. I've been lucky to encounter the cheery soundman lately...he's quite cheery. Bastid...I'll come to your show if you come to mine the previous evening: Mrs. Grundy will be playing THE VILLAGE UNDERGROUND on June 3rd!!! THE FESTIVITIES BEGIN AT 6:30PM!!! I'll do a real post about it in the next couple of weeks.
Idnarb
June 3rd you say? 6:30 you say? The Village Underground you say? Sounds good, I just may be able to make it. Your Friendly Neighborhood Pirate- Idnarb
BenLoy
We actually go on at 9, but the evening is packed with cool bands: Jackie Pop, Greenwalk, and Transit Belle. The doors open at 7:15 pm, not 6. My bad. Like I said, I'll post a real thread about this and not hijack Bastid's glory here...

73 P Bass
Not that I'd actually go to N.Y. on a school night, but I have knee surgery (must be from lugging those 18" blackwidows back in the day)on the 3rd.
