mr.bassic
Does anyone know where I can get in contact with a company which hires out basses. I am coming to the USA in July to teach at a Summer camp in New York state and do not trust my instruments in plane holds. Can anyone help me out with this or somewhere to buy a cheap but decent instrument. What the.........?

Tom Capasso
You don't say where in NY. NY State is pretty big (OK, maybe not by Australian standards...). In the area near New York City, it's not as easy to rent. Other areas may allow renting, but may not have the selection you may want. Please tell us where you'll be, and for how long (that will help determine if you should just buy a bass). jeremy c
In the UK, Australia and other countries, you would hire a bass. In the United States, the word is rent. The word hire is used for a person, e.g. I want to hire a bass player for an engagement. Make sure your search says bass rental or instrument rental. Music stores that give lessons often have rental instruments available. Free download of my cd!.
phizz
you might also be able to carry one of your basses onto the plane I have done this twice in the past year with no problems. the flight attendants have always been very helpful in finding a place in the over head ben to store it... you may check with your airline to see if they allow this... A.P. Non-Prod.
Hello, since your near my neck of the woods I was wondering what will you be doing up here in central NY? Are you going to be playing shows or studio work? I'm about an hour away from Binghamton. Maybe we can go see some music somewhere. Peaceful Journeys!
