Farfetched Posted March 27, 2003 Share Posted March 27, 2003 came across this while looking through the new fender catalog. looks pretty cool, very much like the (now discontinued?) p-bass lyte. my q is why is it considered a jazz bass and not a p-bass deluxe or something along those lines when it has a p/j pup config? Scoot Posted March 27, 2003 Share Posted March 27, 2003 It basically has the same pickup configuration as a P-deluxe (haven't looked deep at the specs), but the body style and the neck are what makes it a J instead of a P.
