davebrownbass
Looks like the famous "wall of sound" is facing his own personal hell in a "wall of steel and concrete," having just been arrested in the shooting death of a "woman" in his home. Should of listen to the message of "Let it Be" while he was producing the album. "Let's raise the level of this conversation" -- Jeremy Cohen, in the Picasso Thread. Still spendin' that political capital far faster than I can earn it...stretched way out on a limb here and looking for a better interest rate. Scoot
He should've been put in jail 30+ years ago for the atrocities committed on "The Long and Winding Road." Here's the link for those who are wondering what we're talking about: Phil Spector\'s last crime against humanity Ah, nice marmot.
Cup
Madness, absolute madness. I don't wish to raise a storm in a tea cup but U.S gun laws leave me dumb founded, human actions even more so.

Cup
Apologies for the double post. As I stated in my previous post. "Human actions even more so!!" Maybe I shouldn't criticise another countries laws from afar, but it's simply my opinion. CupMcMali...this monkey's gone to heaven
DanYmaL X
Don't take it the wrong way, Cup... Our firearms laws do suck... but even worse is the chaotic way in which our gov't enforces(or not) those laws... although I am most certainly not a gun control freak, I would like to see the consequences of gun related or any violent criminal activity dealt out appropriately. Guaranteed, if Spector did indeed pull the trigger, he won't get what he deserves, as far as I'm concerned... But thats a rant for another forum... Jotown
Yeah guns don't kill people, people with guns kill people! And there are no stupid questions....only stupid people. Jotown:) "It's all good: Except when it's Great"
Cup
Danymal-X I agree, looks like Spector has hired O.J's lawyer......Still innocent till proven guilty. CupMcMali...this monkey's gone to heaven
Jode
"A sword is never a killer - it is merely a tool in the killer's hands." -Lucius Annaeus Seneca Okay, OJ was the latest test of celebrity and money versus justice, and it wasn't very promising. If Spector is guilty, let's see if he's a big enough star to get acquitted, or if he's rich enough to get acquitted, or if Los Angeles can still remember the type of fair trial which results in a conviction. Slaerty
I'm with cup, I look at your gun laws and shake my head. If someone's gonna kill me I want them to put in some effort and use a knife or a baseball bat, an eight year old with gross motor problems can still pull a trigger. But hey... I don't have to live there. Providence over serendipity any day.
Ben
If you think our gun laws are crazy, just take a look at our foreign policy. Oh, never mind, back to bass-related content. I never could understand what the wall of sound hype was about, actually. I liked it, but it didn't sound that different to me than other stuff that was going on. Couldn't tell that much with most of the crummy radios and stereos of the 60's anyway.
_Sweet Willie_
I'm definitely curious to hear the tunes with the "stripped down" production. Beatles unplugged? Or better yet, Beatles un-Spectored? Peace. spreadluv Fanboy? Why, yes! Nordstrand Pickups and Guitars. Messiaen knew how to parlay the funk.
