Scoot
See this thread: Pre-amp shopping Or, you can wait for our resident Ashdown minister (Bumpcity) to show up and sing Ashdown's praises once again . . . something that I'm sure I'll be doing in a week or so. Ah, nice marmot.
jeremy c
I'd be pretty surprised if anyone said that Ashdown amps were not good. Actually if anyone says any of the major brands are not good, they don't know what they're talking about. On the other hand, I played in bands in the 60's with Silvertone amps and a Bogen PA system, and in bands in the 70's with a Shure vocalmaster PA. Now those were bad amps. Free download of my cd!. ...
Please see "pre-amp shopping" thread for my extremely biased opinion. My last amp was fabricated out of coconut husk and bailing wire; it was all MacGuyver like that.

As with all MacGuyver creations, the introduction of duct tape instantly turns anything into a bomb. The Swiss army knife acts as the primer. cornbread_medhotmail.com
Well, considering Ashdown is made by the guys behind Trace Elliot, I would have to believe they are very nice amps without hearing them. Of course, I have played on 1 or 2 and I find them quite nice. If I ever choose to move on from my SWR, I would give serious consideration to Ashdown.
