That dude took my seat!" - "Man, that Kobe dude couldn't get it together tonight!" as well as the incredulous context - - "Dude, are you sure you know what you're DOING?" - "Dude, you're gonna BREAK it! Give it me!" the diminishing context - - "I called the plumber, and they sent over some YOUNG dude." - "I can't handle the dudes and dudettes at frat parties." and of course the traditional version as used by cowboys - - "That dude doesn't know a saddle from pitchfork." - "Welcome to Colorado Slim's dude ranch!" and finally the modern surfer-dude context - - "Dude! Dude, me and my chick went down to Baja last weekend...WoooHooo....went four-bying on the sand dunes, macked some fine fish tacos, got my jeep totally all dirty and stuff...played my guitar on the beach while my chick was..er..um..singing backups, yeah thats it...bummer was the two-hour wait at the border coming back.
