Entwhistle's family

The famous people thread got me thinking.

In Oct. I was at a post-guitar show jam, when I met a man named Robert Entwhistle. The name didn't register with me until I asked him if he ws playing tonight and someone said jokingly "naw, this guy's a REAL player".

I'm pretty sure it was not the Ox, unless his appearence changed alot just before his death.

Did John have a brother?

I can't help with info on Entwistle's family.

I can give you another interesting fact. When Entwistle fronted his own band, his lead guitarist was named Godfrey Townsend. I have seen Godfrey at a couple of shows, and the guy is hot!! This included "A Walk Down Abbey Road", where he played lead guitar for the show (including Jack Bruce's "Cream" segment).

How's that for some name twisting?

I'm pretty sure you're right it wasn't the Ox, since he had been dead for four months. :)

Thank you for joging my memory, Scootdog.

It was after the Dallas guitar, which is at the end of March. But anyways, I thought running into a suposedly rippin' musician named Entwhistle was odd.
