Adrian Smith
Just curious of anyone's experience with them, I want to order some SWR equipment but they are VERY sketchy on the details, not sure if I trust them. Thanks! Discipline is never an end in itself, only a means to an end. --King Crimson
Cowbell
There's been alot of talk about trusting them or not. I have ordered pedals etc. from them. It was a very smooth sale. Recieved the latest pedal a week before it was supposed to be here!
Mudbass
I've ordered from them many times and never had any problems.
DanYmaL X
I've ordered from them before, and so has my guitar player (or am I his bass player?) I'd order from them again in a heartbeat, will be shortly, in fact, soon as I get my cab issues cleared up... Matt (guitar player mentioned above) has ordered from them for years and has never complained. I have noticed that they can be sketchy in their descriptions, but if you call them and ask questions you usually get a decent, knowledgeable answer. Adrian Smith
Here is my problem: I asked them why they had two listings of the SWR Goliath III 4-ohm 4x10 cabinet, because everyone else ONLY has the 8-ohm version. So they tell me that one is for bass, and the other is for guitar. Uhhhh... I didn't think SWR made guitar equipment. So I am rather skeptical. I'm afraid that I will end up getting the 8-ohm cabinet if I try to order the 4-ohm. bassplayer7770
Well, their explanation of the SWR cabs is not correct. Perhaps you talked to a bad rep. I've never had any problems ordering from them. I've bought mostly small items from them, but I also bought my Reverend from them when they had a closeout. I chose FedEx Express 2-Day shipping, but I actually got it in one day. I was very happy. However, their packaging could have been better. They only used crumbled-up pieces of paper to "protect" my bass in a gigbag. Flemtone
Adrian, I've ordered several things from them (including my Ashbory), and their service has always been outstanding. Of course, you might have just come upon someone who didn't have a clue or was new on the job. At my company, the phone folks are usually reluctant to ask their supervisors questions regarding the products - it makes 'em look bad (and wakes up the boss...). You should be able to order with confidence. -Tim from Jersey Play. Just play.
Adrian Smith
Thanks, I appreciate the replies. Actually I found the 4-ohm cab for $70 cheaper from http://www.bassnw.com so I'm going to buy it from them anyhow! The email I received from them was much more helpful and clear. They've always been helpful to me, but I've never actually ordered anything from them. Perhaps someday...
