You guys are carrying on about something that isn't all that esoteric in terms of price to build, though I'm sure the R&D has accrued. The main premium is only the fact that they ARE way lighter and more efficient at power conversion.

about all i can say without divulging proprietary information is that your assumptions are incorrect, which is leading you to an incorrect conclusion.

 

that said, we certainly have the in-house talent to make a much smaller variant if we wanted to. oh, but now we are on to other triple constraints...
