Compressor: EBS or Bass POD ???

Recommended Posts

ello everybody, I'm looking for a good compressor ( both for on stage and for homerecording ), I'm thinking about the Bass POD but my first priority is a good compressor, anybody ever compared the POD with the EBS Multicompressor ?

Umm...Isnt the Bass POD an amp modeler?

yep, but it's good built in effects too, and one of them is a compressor, if it is a decent one I have an amp modeler ànd a compressor, if it's not a decent one I'll buy the EBS first and the POD (maybe)afterwards ( no unlimited budget I'm afraid :=)) )

The compressor in the Bass POD is great IMHO, but go to the store and try it for yourself. It really fattens up the sound and it won't pump and breath no matter how hard you compress. It's easy to use because it's only one knob, like the LA-2A it's attempting to emulate. I've also used the Boss Limiter/Enhancer pedal and it works well for a live situation. It's very inexpensive.
