FrankieP Posted May 7, 2002 Posted May 7, 2002 LMAO!!! Sounds like Triumph the Comic Insult Dog getting neutered!!! My wife's a big fan of his and upon hearing this clip my 2 soon to be born babies started kicking (she's pregnant with twins)!!! No kidding!!!
ernest828 Posted May 7, 2002 Posted May 7, 2002 Deafmix, Thats great news and funny stuff! Holy Smoke that Enrique clip was BAD (as in really bad). I can`t believe its real. Maybe some sort of joke... I hope and pray. I`d like to go to sleep at night and think people like B. Spears and Enrique have some sort of talent. I`d hate to think, good looks and the right connections is all it takes. Should I laugh or cry? Peace, Ernest
Deathtoallwhoopposeme Posted May 7, 2002 Posted May 7, 2002 enrique is talentless and anyone with ears knows that but the use of backing tracks to SWEETEN up a live act is VERY VERY common...now i'm NOT talking about Lip synching...that is obviously for boy bands and people who can't pull it off live..i'm talking about Artists like Shania and Aerosmith, and acts like Earth Wind and Fire and Egar Winter who i just opened up for at a Festival down here..they use some some samples to thicken things up..Some vocs, keys etc...To give the audience a fuller sound, more of what they are hearing on CD and I think that's fine...The bar has been raised and people expect to hear the act they are paying $50 bucks a ticket for, sound like the CD and artists are responding to it...I listened to Edgar's soundcheck and with a 4 piece band and keys, background vocs sung, and sampled for thinckness, it sounded great...Look at Janet Jackson..Her most recent tour was a Pro Tools rig on stage with a 4 piece band....It;s perfect, FAT, saves cash and the fans don't care...Only that is sounds great and the show is well done..I would not think she would be lip synching either.....any other sweetening and playing wiht backing tracks is VERY common and done by MOST acts though....Even Elton john had a lot of the old stuff like Funeral for a Friend, etc, sequenced behind him with the band...the technology is a tool and will enhance a real artist who uses it for that purpose...people who can't hack it, abuse it and it's then looked down on as a whole because of it, but it's nonsense....
